In this Blog we will explore what Media Convergence is, and what the opportunities and challenges are to creative industries and also to society as a whole. We will do this through regular updates on what we have learnt, what books we have explored, the theroists we have researched into, as well as what developments we have made in our assignment.

Filming/Editing Schedule

Filming locations:

Location 1: University of Salford @ MediaCityUK (Orange Tower)- The Egg*
Location 2: Sam's Flat (Kitchen)*
Location 3: John's Flat (Bedroom)*
Location 3: Hannah's Flat (Kitchen)*

*At each location we also want to film each other talking about our own section of the essay. These clips will also be used in our final video (within the different media platforms/technologies).


Wednesday 23rd November- Start filming for our video
  1. 10:00am- film at MediaCityUK.
  2. 13:00pm- head to iQ Student Quarter, Sam's flat, to film.
  3. 15:00pm- walk to Castle Irwell, Hannah's flat, to film.
I do not feel that we will have enough daylight to film at the final location on this day.

Wednesday 28th November- Continue filming and begin editing
  1. 10:00am- film at Horlock Court, John's flat.
  2. 12:30pm- begin editing our footage at MCUK
Wednesday 5th December- Continue editing/finalising presentation/finalising essay
  1. 10:00am- continue editing footage
  2. 15:00pm- finalise presentation/essay
